I have held open house on Christmas Day for more than 20 years. It is a place for my friends to gather. Most of my friends are creative people: artists, writers, musicians, programmers, photographers. We hug, drink hot cider, partake of potluck, and play all sorts of games (Scrabble, Monopoly, Fluxx, whatever), chatter away, and generally have a good time. I invite any of you who are in the San Francisco Bay Area to the Party as well. A handful of the other artists also use Poser, but Pat Davis in the only one who is a member of this community. (I'd like to encourage the others to join!) For anyone who hasn't been here, yet, just IM me for instructions. Christmas Day 2pm to midnight Carolly

Well, some of my friends don't have family, and some do... but need an excuse to get away later in the day. ;) Some of my friends have family on the other side of the country (or world) and can't get home. Some of my friends celebrate different holidays and feel left out by all the focus upon this one day. For whatever reason, they know that they can come to my place and get a hug and cup of hot spiced cider and interesting conversations drifting through the room. My home is called haukshavn because it is a haven for my friends as well as myself. Enjoy your Christmas and Boxing Day (I was just singing the soul cake song while making cookies... your traditions are a lot older than ours). Carolly
