first attempt at making some kind of animated icon.. not much but hey what do you expect for someone who just learned how to do it?

It surely is a start. The most important is the purpose it has. If there isn't., you should not add too much visual noise.

Definitely, it has a smooth professional look. I wish I had this look after a year in Photoshop training, but I have not... :-)
