I just got CS and I cant say I'm impressed seems just like 7.0 to me but anyway, I've noticed that I missing some hotkeys. Seems like all the basic hotkeys are there B still gives me brush E eraser etc.. but hotkeys like merge layer ctrl + e dont work. I switched keyboards, which didnt work, I did few reinstalls and cleaned my reg but that didnt help either. So I reinstalled 7.0 and all my hotkeys worked fine. I'm pretty lost and adobe help guys just wasted my time...

I don't have that version, so I can't be sure, but I think CS is supposed to have hotkeys you can customize, and if you want all the old shortcuts, you have to set it up that way or make a selection to that effect.

ya thats one of the things I check and for some reason it has the hot keys listed but they dont work...

Have you used the crack so that you don't need to activate? That kills the PSCS ctrl-shorcuts, so you would need to remove it and probably activate immediately. If that isn't the case, and if you've tried checking for new drivers for your keyboard if it's a programmable model (even with a different one connected the driver could still have been active enough to cause problems), then try disabling helper/background programs (chat and so on) which have their own hotkey combinations.

It's probably a bug that will be solved with an update, it happend with 6.0 and 7.0, this last one went to 7.01.
Adobe does that always, and it's not just the hotkeys, any letter and keyboard that's not english always works wrong.
Try to write ~ or in that CS, it's quite a chalenge!

Hi all, I know this is an old thread but my search found it. I understand that in CS you can set your own key-strokes for commands, but how do I set the arrow keys to move selections like in 7.0? I have the latest keyboard drivers. Thanks for any help. Tom
