Hi! Have you checked the amount of compression being applied to the jpeg thumbs? If its set at a really high percentage it might be the cause of your colors being off or blurring. I, typically, set the compression with PSP on the big copy of my images at the lowest possible - 1% - and then look for the lowest possible compression that gets my thumbnails in under Renderosity's 15kb limit - usually around 10-15% or maybe around, say 25% if there are a lot of flames or if I apply the "sharpen" filter to the thumb. I usually start with a 1024x768 (my screen res) bmp generated by Ultrafractal and re-size it as an 800x600 jpeg with 1% compression, then re-size that to 200x150 and save as another jpeg with the minimum compression I can get away with. Hope this helps. Rick

I have a program called "A Smaller Image" that does my thumbnails. I use just enough compression to get under Renderosity's limit ( just as Rick said). William

Do you mean out-of-balance colorwise or size? The free program called Irfanview can take any size/type image and create a thumb to any size or compression, besides being able to add sharpening.
