Heyas, Was hoping to get these posted by New Years, but I got a little sidetracked. Here are the updated textures and MAT files for the MilDragon. 7 texture sets, 12 MAT files for color and 6 eye colors. These textures LOOK the same as my old Mildrag textures, but they have been renamed so they do not conflict. READ the README. It explains some important things. If you have the old ones I recomend deleting and replacing. Apologies to all dialup users as these set weighs in at over 60 megs for all 10 zips I've also added Simon (male morph for Sara) plus texture to my DL page. Enjoy! I will NOT be adding these to Renderosity Freestuff. Lyrra

Thanks for sharing, Lyrra...some great stuff here. You are already missed here as a mod, but glad to see you are still going strong.

"Enjoy! I will NOT be adding these to Renderosity Freestuff." not wanting to put oil on the fire or something, but this statement really confirm that something nasty happened abotu lyrra and her being asked to leave rosity :) else she would nto say that :) to quote some coordinator here, lyrra was doing a good work/job... So it is perfectly logical to ask her to leave and STOP making such a good job.. we see such things nowadays: when a firm is earnign more money, she really HAS to dump employees that worked well, so they can continue to improve their income.. (see "the big one" a good movie about the capitalistic phenomena of that :) lyrra: will you post this as a freebee on another central/portal website, such as rendervision ?

Actually I'm not posting them simply to keep my bandwidth down. At 60 megs each, my sysadmin is getting cranky with me. My apologies if that came across as being rather frosty to Renderosity. I might post Simon in a bit. Right now I'm busy preparing to totally renovate my website. I hadn't planned on doing that for a few months but it seems that my timing has been accelerated all of a sudden like.

oh and please don't get this thread locked .. I find that somewhat embarassing, all things considered. :)

well i know about bandwidth problerms for sure.. even a lame poser siter like mine get really too much traffic, or at least a frigthening one for my own eyes to bear. I am glad the stat system of my host is buggy now... i don't know how much you pay and what is the limit.. i can consider myself mucky that i have found a nice webspace free but with unlimited bandwith usage and unlimited file size :) it seems there are not so many like that around nowadays.... anyway do you still plan to mirror them/link them through another portal site, like rosity ? i mean it is hard for people to check all their favorite artist's website at once, and having at least a place to check from time to time to keep oneself informed is good.. that's what renderosity was for as far as i am concerned...

Riddokun: Care to share your goldmine free webspace details? I could use something like that for future expansion.

"Bandwidth is a nightmare these days." That it is. Lyyra, you've got some duplicate files that may be adding to your bandwidth bill significantly. The eyes at 1.14M are also in the MATS zip, and the shared textures zip weighing in at 10.3M also appears to be included in the MATS zip. Also noticed a tif and psd file in amongst them all. Thank you very much for the textures!

eh. thats what I get for packing files after a long day of an emotional rollercoaster ride. I'll fix it eventually. Just not today. Actually I have infinite free hosting and bandwidth (I saved my sysadmins life, literally) but I try to keep the drain on her system down as much as possible. I've found that people who actually USE the files will go to my site to get them, but freebie spongers won't bother and won't use them either. In my humble opinion, after I spend a few hundred hours making a huge textureset like this the freebie users can shift themselves to go get it. For keeping track of over 600 Poser websites I use WebMon. Every week I use it to check all the sites for ones that have changed and go look at just the changed ones myself. Lyrra

mondoxjake well i would gladly share the info about my webspace, because i spent nights to search through free webspace solutions matching my criterias (bandwidth and file size), especially when it is no popup/advertising... truth is i ended on a host of my own country and that the offer of free hosting like that is only available for residents, not foreigner, i am sorry (for once i am glad to live in this damn land, that's it) but there are yet a few other website spaces for free (maybe with popup/adds and so far as i saw, limited to 2mb per file, got to split your poser things maybe) out there, you just need to go on a free webspace search engine and you'll find (i have a couple of search engines in my other bookmark at home.. will tell you if you need)
