Hello, I'm a new Vue4 user and was thinking of getting Mover 4 for the HyperVue feature but I'm curious if HyperVue will make rendering still images any faster (like Bryce Lightning does) or if HyperVue only shares rendering of separate frames from animations (as in each computer rendering a full frame where Bryce Lightning shares segments on the same image/frame)? Thanks, -Teknal

Nope, I`m afraid not

With Vue d'Esprit 4 and rendercow you only can render animations, as far as I know, entirely or image by image as you like. With Vue 4 Pro, you can render also stills over a network. But I may be wrong as I never have updated rendercow for Vue d'Esprit 4, using only Pro.

Nope, Vue4 Cows only render single frames, not frame increments. It takes Pro to do sectional rendering of single images.

You're correct Guitta. Only Pro will render stills over a network, even then only if you're using a setting with enough subrays that it doesn't need to fudge the output with antialiasing. John

Thanks for the quick responses everyone! I guess I'm going to hold off on Mover 4 for now and put it towards a new processor. -Teknal
