As Renderosity continues to grow and expand we find that our systems have to be fine-tuned from time to time. With that being said we feel the current MarketPlace product feedback system is slanted towards providing the customer with positive feedback only. In order to increase buyer confidence and create a level playing field among MarketPlace products a non-bias product feedback system is needed. The new system closely follows standards set forth by the E-Commerce industry.

The new system is called Product Review.
A Product Review consists of 2 parts, a Raking and Text Review.
It is based on a five star ranking system with five being the best.
Old product rankings have been migrated into the new system to preserve historical data and to provide the buyer with a true representation of what previous buyers thought of the product.
You can access a products review page directly from your Purchase History page.

a Raking and Text Review Nice one. About time too. Assuming the merchant is cut out of the loop and that there is the chance for trolling to be removed. Just one thing Clint. Raking? That's a typo, right? Surely you're not encouraging customers to rake a product over the coals. :)

***come back with the old option for look out this comments *** Oh, you mean the old option where the vendors are allowed to CHOOSE what goes in the review, so that they're only ever seen as "gawds" with "wow cool" comments? No thanks. I prefer honesty in marketplaces. What's the problem AndyGraph? I see a good comment from a customer who possibly did or did not purchase all your files stating that he didn't like having to use UVMapper? As all the products are the same requiring the same methods to make them work why is the comment out of place? I don't see anything bad there. What? You don't like less than glowing 5 star reports? Grow up, live with it, go make more things to sell. Sheesh. This sort of silly behaviour is precisely why the old method didn't work. There's no criticism on the post and several compliments. Yet you manage to try to draw a conclusion about someone you've never met? Fascinating. My vote is for the comments to stay Clint, they're not offensive, not misleading and show a good review if not "wow kewl, yer a god"

But the user isn't saying that there's a problem with your textures. He compliments them. He's saying they're very good but he doesn't like to use UVMapper. As your textures are UVS encoded you must use UVMapper to make them work, the buyer didn't like having to do that. It's perfectly logical. I know a lot of people who don't like using UVMapper for anything, they don't understand it. A lot of new Poser users might not know what a UVS is and might think they get a character as well as textures, from that comment they will know. So they will know they need UVMapper to work with your textures. Maybe you see something different but I see someone liking your textures but liking to work to use them. :)

Q - the product is distributed as a .uvs file so that he doesn't redistribute anyone's geometries illegally - he HAS to distribute the file in this manner. The customer didn't understand that it has to be set up in this manner to avoid violating anyone's copyrights. Andy don't sweat it hun! - I would suggest that you add something to your promo text explaining that the product has to be distributed as a .uvs file to avoid infringing on anyone's copyrights. I know that customers don't like .uvs, or .rte files - but at least they'll know why it's set up the way it is. ;)

Jade. I know "why" it's done like that, jeez I've been here long enough to figure that out, thanks. What I don't get is the complaint about the comment on the product. There's nothing wrong there, the customer didn't like the extra steps but gave the product a fair compliment and a four star rating.. yet it's not "logical". Please.

It's not logical Questor if i take a comemnts about a another software. It's as purchase Michael or Victoria and wrote in feedback to DAZ : "nice products but complicate use it with Poser ..." Please! :-O

Andy - I would suggest that you add the 'why' to your promot text and read me - that you don't want to infringe on anyone's copyrights because you're an honest merchant ;) Q - I know you know why, and I don't think it's a BAD comment either - but andy's not reading it the same as you and I...

np Andy! I have no idea why but a LOT of customers do NOT like encoded files - they just hate to take the extra steps. All you can do is educate them as to 'why' these extra steps are necessary...

okay you have: "DAZ Victoria & UVmapper is needed for create the new geometry source of this character !" I would suggest: "DAZ's Victoria & UV Mapper Classic are needed to use this product. Victoria has been re-mapped by me and I have encoded the file to avoid infringing on DAZ's copyrights." or something like that ;) lol

also adding a link to UV Mapper Classic somewhere would be a nice touch as well.
