Does anyone know where I can purchase boats, yachts, ships and other nautical objets and props? Thanks!

3dcafe is a good source of objects of all kinds. Zhann (here on this forum) has a wonderful sextant - although it might be too sophisticated for your needs. There is also a fantastic HMS Victory for sale - I don't know where but a simple search here might find it for you. regards The Bryster

actually Zhann (troublemaker that she is..;) got a few people to do sextants, globes, astrolabs, and Babbage engines..the appeal of precision-machined brass has a strange hold on some of us..;) I've seen a few compass-like things..I'd just search freestuff on whatever you're looking for..if you had Poser, I'd send you to Anthony Appleyard's Space Storie..he has a serious jones about diving and boats in general..

How much money you got? If youre seriously wealthy, or just serious about models, look at the ships made by D
espona. I think you can find them on turbosquid. If I won the lottery second thing Id do is go buy his set of CD
s. On the other hand the Victory by Hankster is available here in the marketplace at what I think is a giveaway price, about $15 I think, and you`ll see it featured in many gallery posts. Planit3d also has few nice free boats s does 3dcommune. It all depends on what you want in the way of era, quality, price, format stc. Hope this helps.

That's all I have for sale here : ships. Viking ship or 18th century 3 master, you can get it from my store too. (http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?Who=faveral) The 3 master even has a version that's specifically designed for Bryce 5, using materials created in the DTE. You can see several renderings of it in my gallery : http://www.renderosity.com/gallery.ez?ByArtist=Yes&Artist=faveral Thanks you guys for forgetting my ship ! :) (dang Victory always gets mentionned first !... But I have to admit it's a great model too !)
