I've decided that the image I'm working on would be better served by a deer or two in the background rather than the solitary adventurer leading a horse. So now I need a deer. Not a toon dear. If anyone knows where I can get a free deer, thanks.

Searched free stuff and the forum, no free deer anywhere. Guess I'm heading to DAZ to price the buck. Saw that it's 1.99 in the platinum club, knew I should've joined when they ran the start up sale back then. Geep, i'm a he, thanks for the classes, and my fridge is full of beers. Although if you find some free ones please post the link.

If you think you'll use anything other than the buck in later renders, the Antelope Pack is an excellent choice.

and Bloodsong has a Deer pack add-on for the Buck at 3d-menagerie

Horse morphs : with some fiddling you can morph the poor horse into oblivion. Try the Equus morphs by Lynn at (i think) Planit3d. In the distance, with a nice rack (antlers!) added you should be okay. antlers: furette character set by LittleDragon has antler props Deer pictures: check the Bryce sections here and at 3Dcommune for deer images made to be used as flat props. I know there were some a while back. Apply image and mask to a 2dsquare, and instant realistic deer
