Hi, I've just joined, came across this site when I'm searching for 3d or 2d utilities to draw ropes. Looking for tools to help me do 2d,3d bondage models. This is to help me illustrate and design complex and artistic ropeworks on my models. Would appreciate information on which tools I can use and how I can get them. Any advise would be welcomed.

Erm, i'm not exactly sure what you're looking for. In both the freestuff and the market place there are tons of bondage outfits and accessories available. As well as actual ropes that can be bent and shaped into the desired shape (chains too) in poser. However, for a 2d drawing tool, You're looking at basically any 2d program, photoshop, psp, painter, etc. The problem with 2d ropes is that you'll need to draw them yourself - which means, its not the program that you need, but the skill to work within the program.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I'm not skilled at 2d drawings. Thus I'm looking for tools to help me out. Poser does seem to fit my bill currently. Cheers and thanks again.

Ropes (or anything similar) are always the biggest pains in 3D, there aren't any true quick and easy rope solutions but you can try this; Search the Renderosity freestuff, use the word "rope"; http://www.renderosity.com/freestuff.ez?Topsectionid=0&Search=Yes Look for "EasyPose Tube" and "Realistic Rope Texture for Easy Pose Tube". They work in Poser, perhaps they can help. AgentSmith
