This Scene I Photographed today in haste, as irate Drivers had piled up behind me on the Main Road...and their Emotions over flowed...as I was a hindrance to their busy Lives. I had Shot in Color...but changed to Grey Scale...but this is not about Me...it is about Ducks. Many Species of Duck, Mate for Life, and I found this to be as Emotional as can be...I fear the Duck was Killed by a Car...for Commerce dictates that We encroach further into the Habitat of these Creatures. But, sad as it may seem....the other Duck will not leave the side of it's fallen Mate....and will also become a Victim before the Sun rises again....and, yet....if I had tried to take this Duck away....it would have Died of a Broken Heart....so...left to a Natural Ending....for Hawks and Stray Dogs, Feral Weasels .....and Cars.

When Emotions was suggested for the first time months back, This is the type of moving photo I envisioned. I hoped it wouldn't be so moving though. I was wrong, it is very moving. Tradgic, but Emotional. Very emotional. PS Piss on the drivers behind you. They should be made to see this image.

Oh Tedz! This is so sad. Doves mate for life too, and when one is killed the mate sits there over the body on the wire waiting... I will be back later... I have to go get my tissues! :'(

Perhaps the duck died of old age? We are not gonna start photographing dead carcases again are we? Someone once a loong timne ago started taking pictures of road kill. While it was moving it was also a serious bummer. Bsteph

Tedz...and you do your thing, too. :) Seems mankind did this one, ducks fault or bad diving, either way. about it. Speaks of "us" in less than general terms. Of the animals, too. Great shot...not to look at often at all but very telling. Do animals feel? Yes sez I.
