When I export figures to Bryce as obj files the hair looks like a helmet. How can I get hair from Poser 5 to Bryce 5?

Well, I don't have any experience in Bryce, but I imagine what you are lacking is the transmapping (or even the texturing) for the hair. With that, yes, it will look like a helmet. Apply a transparency map and it should look better, right?

Argh, this forum needs an edit button. I meant WITHOUT that, meaning without a transmap/texture, the hair object will look like a helmet.

I think FreeJack is right (though I don't have Bryce but that seems to be the way to do it in Vue). I don't know if this link would help or not.

Actually, I take that back....I don't know if you can export dynamic hair into Vue. Cancel that notion unless verified by someone who knows what they're doing. But the link stands.

You can't export dynamic hair into Bryce. You can in Vue, but it's rather tricky. Instructions are somewhere in the Vue forum, and you need 4.2 to do it. (well, you can into Bryce -- there's a link in the P5 forum at rdna to how, but boy oh boy is it ugly.)

Thanks, vnsaen. I know you can export other hair into Vue but I wasn't sure about the dynamic hair. Actually now that I look at the question, I'm not sure it was about dynamic hair in the first place. Sigh. Some days it doesn't pay for me to get out of bed.
