okay, stupid question, but if I download a new texture - for example, a horse texture; how do I apply it? do I have to go into the existing horse file, back it up, and replace it with the new one, or is there an easier way? also, how do I make my own, or alter the already existing ones? thank you :) Mona

look at your render menu there is a materals section. It should be clear from there. Hope this helps

to amplify...open 'surface materials' click the 'load' box next to textures, find the directory you stored it in and open it. you can change the strength on the slider but 100% is usually best. check 'apply texture to whole figure' and when you close, if you're in texture syle mode you'll see it. don't you have a manual, mona? it's all in there. maclean

PS if you save the figure like this, it'll open every time with that tex map maclean

thanks alot! actually, I have a manual and the cat took a liking to it ;) (and several other computer books and stuff) its condition is at a point where I'd rather not touch it :) that was really helpful, thanks again! Mona

I know how you feel, mona. I had a cat who loved the taste of gelatine and used to lick all my photos. couldn't leave anything lying around at all! (I miss that cat...sigh) maclean
