Hi!I just started using poser 5 and I am having huge problems with free downloads, most of all charakters. Just downloaded Koshini and mayadoll. Exampel:I find my koshini..and all I get from her is an X..on the bottom of the page..when I put my mayadoll on..all I get is her teeth..what am I doing wrong??

Well, Koshini isn't free - you have to buy her at Daz3d.com - so are you actually downloading some free clothing for her or something? With MayaDoll, I'm not sure. Can you give us a screenshot? I also don't understand what you mean about an "X". Can you be more specific, take us through the steps?

I agree with Karen1573, a screenshot would be very nice. You may have installed Maya Doll in a wrong place, how DID you install her?

First, there is a manual. For all the snickering, it does have a lot of information on the basics. Second, if you look at the readme files for your characters, they ought to say which files are included and where they should go if you choose to manually install them. (This means having the original zip which ought to have the readme.) Most files will follow certain zip paths (if the top file is named "runtime" the path is usually correct) so that PC users can unzip in the right directory and the files will sort themselves out where the author intended. Mac users use MacConverter and MacInstaller and get to decide whether to let the files go there, or where the user decides is the best place for them. Just make sure that the extensions correlate to the folder they are in.

warning bells Please clarify that your friend BOUGHT Koshini for you... you know, with a gift certificate, from Daz3d... not just gave you a copy of his/hers? But if you didn't get it from Daz... ...hey guys, I'm in!
