At one time, someone had posted a few links to sites that have ways to improve xp's performance, thereby making poser run better, if anyone knows the links or has them handy, if you would post them it would be greatly appreciated

At one time I saw a link for a memory utility called Cacheman, by a company called Outer Technologies. However, that was back when i was running Win98SE. I just checked their page, and they show that they are currently beta testing CachemanXP. I quote for their site: "The Cacheman utility is designed to improve the performance of your computer by optimizing the disk cache, memory and a number of other settings." It comes with a whole bunch of preset profiles for doing different work on your pc - from cd ripping to multimedia work, and so on. When I ran it with Win98SE, I didn't see much of a performance jump, but I was running with very little disk space and memory available at the time anyway. You might want to keep on an eye on their page: http://www.outertech.com/ Hope this helps! I now have WinXP and half a gig of memory, with Poser 4, and a 7200 RPM 120 Gig harddrive, and it runs liquid smooth, without any tweaks.

In the poser for you forum and Poser 5 forums at Runtime DNA you can find several posts regarding making your system work better with P5 -- many with step by steps and more than a few with pictures.
