Yea, I'm very excited. lol. Like a little kid that hasn't had candy in a while. lol. So I think I will be busy this weekend running test shots. lol. I'll be dragging poor Andy all over the place. lol. I think the ONLY downside to this lens is it's weight, it's heavy, but hopefully worth it's weight. :) I would love to get a macro as well. What is the exacts on your Sigma macro and the running price on it? Thanks Michelle!

Lets see it's the Sigma EX 105mm f/2.8... think I paid around $375.... also works great as a portrait lens! So I love it!

A agree with Michelle on that Sigma EX 105. Great lens for macros (didn't do portraits myself but i hear it from a lot of people, it's very good for that too). Congrats to your new toy!! Looking forward to what you'll be doing with it :))

My personal experience with Sigma is - excellent optics, but poorly designed construction (particularly the tripod mount). I am basing this opinion from an extremely old 400mm APO - which had a tripod collar made of seemingly twist-ties - which snapped inside of a year of use. Hopefully, your lens has a good, stout collar - and if it does, great lens! And if it doesn't - great lens...be careful!! Wolf
