Anyone know a way to make the elusive and hairline-thin magnet zone more visible?

heyas; yup! select it and go to some menu or other... um... 'display:mode' i think. you can tell it to do silhouete, wireframe, solid, wireframe... all the different styles. (there's shortcut keys too, something like ctrl-shift 2 for wireframe.) i'm always changing the stupid magnet to outline whenever i create a new one. dumb thing always in the way.... ::grumble grumble::

The display modes affect the figure also. Any way to make the MAGNET ZONE more distinct or visible while keeping the figure in more natural smooth-shaded or texture-shaded mode?

There are separate display styles for document, figure, and element, all listed in the menus. You need the element style if you want to alter the style of only 1 object like a magnet zone.

Right. But all the styles for the magnet zone element obscure the figure except Outline style, which is the default, and silhouette, which is no more distinct. I hoped to know how to make the Outline more visible. It continually disappears and is always hard to discern.

Great solution. That works perfectly. Many thanks.
