Nice... The gold edges really add to the cup and saucer.

I'll never go back. never. you can't make me!!! NO!!!! ow! oooh, pretty coffee! As an inveterate believer in firefly and the material room, I will say this: It ain't Poser 4. And that's a Great thing.

Gold wdges had to have thier own material node/grouping and then I just hit them with gold reflection map. I downloaded someones mirror and duplicated the setting for the reflection node, this worked out real well. Id like to try this with cars too. I used a sky to give the spoon a reflection map that kind of made it look like silver, Im still wondering If I need to take some of the blue out of the image though. the highlights were done in poser and imported the object into poser 5 for the rest.

Oh and Im also using the sky reflection map on the saucer and cup, this kind of happend by mistake but I liked the effect and kept it.

Looks good. I loved it after my first render and use nothing but the firefly now. Have you tried some atmosphere to get some steam?

Excellent! I'm enjoying the Firefly renderer myself.

Steam is a good idea. Since coffee is an oily and aromatic brew, a bit of surface texturing for tiny bubbles would be a nice touch. (Traveler did a cauldron with bubbles last week for the Propsclub, and I think I saw it in Real Deals: bubbles add character to a fluid.) The spoon should be a less saturated blue, because it really jumps out now. Its reflection in the side of the cup is wonderful. It also appears to be a coffee spoon (smaller than a teaspoon). The cup itself is magnificent. The pattern looks very high end with that restrained gold edge. Nice work all around! Carolly
