this was tough and tedieus and took and took awhile to do, it also took an hour to render. The car has a reflection map, And a ray trace reflection. Rendered in poser 5 The sky reflections were done with a sky plane over the car so the car would pick up the sky reflections in raytracing render. The bottom reflection was done on the ground plane with a mirror reflection setting, I then later took the image into paint shop pro and gave the bottom reflection a ripple effect with a paintshop6 pro filter.

car image, the cup was done the same way but tok less time being that it had fewer nodes.

Ill tell you something else, I like poser4 for quick renders, minor texture editing and figure editing. Poser5 even with 2.5 gigs of memory on a pentium 4 is still lagging, It's now a program I can use but it's still not as fast as poser4. But since it has a really good rendering engine I use it to do my final renders now and for some of the perks it has. My other computer I am retiring since christmass, is Pentium 3 and poser5 made it run like molassis. .....

excellent friggin renders man!! OK....it looks like your pretty experience with reflection nodes....can you help me figure out how to eliminate these jagged edges in P5? i've tried the following----> 1. Quality in reflection node was set to 0 and 1 2. Raytrace bounces set to max 3. Pixel Samples set to max 4. softness value set from 0-1 i cant figure out how to eliminate these jaggies in the reflection.... got any ideas? thanks for any help. much appreciated!

Try upping your screen resolution in control panels that should take care of it.

1280 by 960 is what I use to get rid of jaggies.

Any chance you could show the node setups on the materials in the scene? When you mention that the car has a reflection map, and a ray trace reflection, I'm not certain where to put those nodes (does that make any sense?) Thanks
