Ok guys...here's a repost of my problem...still not solved..... how do i get rid of the jagged reflection in P5? all i did was connect a reflect node to the master shader and thats it... i tried----> 1. increased raytrace bounces to max 2. increased reflection quality value from 0-1 & vice versa 3. increased pixel samples to max value of 12 4. rendered in production quality can anyone give me some other thing i can try? thanks for any help.

May be its worth a try: use the high res sheet from the props as a mirror

ah, P5. interesting to see. sorry, can't help directly, i only own P4. still i think considering s different rendering engine is a good idea sometimes. another idea: how does she look if you mirror your camera position? is the jagged look still present when you don't use reflection but have a direct view? (just to make sure it is really the reflection responsible for the problem)

  1. the flat plane your useing is only one polygon, try using someting with alot more polygones, the higher the polygon count the better your reflections will be. try raising the resolution of your sxcreen in control panels, 1280 by 1024 is great for poser but slow renders

A quick test reveals that lo-res geometry gives better reflections.

Since FireFly is dicing the plane into micropolygons anyway, there's absolutely no advantage in using the cloth plane here (in contrast, it's a waste of RAM).
