I made some monkeys in Poser and moved them over using Mover4 into Vue. Well, I now learned that the hair on my monkeys chest, cheeks and head are not compatable with VUE. Okay, so how can I make somethink that looks like hair or fur in VUE. It would be nice to have part of the fur on the monkey body a slightly different color like in the chest area. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks

1st off are you using Poser 5 or 4...Vue doesn't like the import of the dynamic hair. Have you tried importing monkeys using the pz3 file??? I use file import then go the scene file under poser & import the PZ3 & have never lost any fur or hair. Then again I'm using PPP not P5. Hope this helps :)

Its too bad that I am using Poser5. The hair was grown on groups in Poser in the Hair room. So I think I am best off by trying to grow something that looks like hair or fur in Vue. I lost my textures anyway during the import.

In the Vue PRo manual we can read that a Mover 5 will be released, and that it will import Poser 5 with dynamic hair and clothes... But I don't know when it will be released;) for the moment i think there are post speaking about that...maybe this one will help you? http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=897014

Consideriong curious labs failed to get Dynamic hair working right (collison detection is completely screwed up) I see no advantage in being able to import it into Vue. Cloth is nice though, when it works. What would make me really happy would be the ability to import P5 shaders into Vue. (Imagines cel shaded bliss)

That may be in the offing. Vue has Shade compatability, I do believe, and the company that owns Shade has aquired Curious Labs from the previous company in Germany (can't think of its name at the moment). And I'd like that shader support as well. Not only would it allow cel shading, but you could theoretically use the whole magilla in the P5 shader kit. Take a look at Jepe's Movie effects props, for instance. Or =possibly= finally being able to use an .avi as a texture source inside an animation (view screens, anyone? Or some serious freaking skin texturing...procedurals.... drool....)
