Lately in some of the various webpages I've seen people trying to pass others works off as their own. The latest being at rendervisions, where someone entered an image from an old issue of playboy as if their own. I thought just to give y'all a heads up so ya can be on the watch. http://www.rendervisions.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=519

Man, that is weird. At least now we know what kind of moron would post a Playboy scan at a 3D site. The admins were on the ball, too - they dealt with it without having to be pummelled by the membership first.

As one of the mods there, thank you! One of the reasons why I brought it up was I believe that she did the same thing here (we didnt goto the time or expense to track the images here down, its doubtful they are her), and if a site like this isnt careful, they could get their tit caught in the ringer. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed2.ez?galleryid=5724 http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.ez?Who=shortskrts69

Yes, it appears to be similar to Playboy photography style, perhaps a model circa 1985-1988, but I'm not an expert. Is the artist saying that's a photograph of her - that she got as a gift? Or maybe she's saying that she took photos of a model or something. It's unclear from the context. But I don't want to see Renderosity harmed by members posting scans from magazines without permission, if that's what this one is. Anyway, she's innocent until proven guilty, so give her the benefit of the doubt.

She claims it to be herself, as with the one she entered at rendervisions that turned out to be not her. The images here, as well as some of her elsewhere, are from playboy I just cant remember which issues (I dont read playboy, and lately things have been bluring together).

Heh, my brother's got a collection of Playboy. I'll give him something to do, and he can find it. ;)

They really need an image search utility to go thru all the millions of porno shots and find which one is similar. I'm pretty sure Playboy has such a utility, so they can search for it very quickly. If they're using Mac OS, it's called PICTcompare.

There are stuff like that, but normally expensive.

I know its out there, but cant remember any names of windows or linux versions.

My feeling is that the culprit in this case is not actually a girl, but a guy. Let's face it, no girl would be stupid enough to want to be identified as one of those brainless, no-talent Playboy bimbos. It sounds more like a teenage male prank to me.
