Hi all, I have purchased a set of levius's photo reference packs and am trying my hand at creating a texture for V3 from them. This is my first attempt at a photo texture, I have only painted one before. Would appreciate any feedback. Oh by the way this will be a free character :)

Nice work! I like the softness of her look. I don't see any obvious color changes - not even at the neck. The only 'defects' I see are in the mesh, not in your texture work. I'd like to see her without shadows on.

Looks really good. Did you burn n dodge a lot or are you using the reference pictures by cloning? Interested in your technque looks sharp. the nipples seem to have a inner circle showing in the areola (that right?). I think your texture is going over the area of V3's nipples, maybe that's just me seeing things. the shoulder upper arm has a orange fresh sunburned look in couple of areas that looks off at distance and more close up, but it's not bad to me at all.

Looking good, thanks for offering it as a freebie, looking forward to seeing the final version.

Thanks all. I am cloning direct from the photo in patches, then merging the patches together with the healing brush and a seamless skin patch which I made. Getting one side of the body part done, then copying and flipping horizontally to match the seams. I nearly went blind matching head and body seams though, LOL I will smooth out her shoulders some. Looking at it again, I think her torso area is lighter than her arms - kind of like she went topless sunbathing with long gloves on, LOL. And yeah, the nipple tex is definitely overlapping onto her breast area. The default V3 has such small nipples that I find it hard to stay within it. But it does leave a seam unfortunately. I'll have to redo that area. Never thought I'd spend so long staring at a woman's nipples!

Wonderful looking texture you've got and giving it away for free is very generous of you. Can't wait 8) Catlin

Very nice work, well done. Just as a point of interest, does anyone actually bother with multiple eyelash trans maps? I just use the same one over and over again; I can't imagine anyone ever notices.

Personally I think that her skin is too "perfect". No freckles, blemishes, etc. Otherwise, she looks great.

would you need the DAZ head and morph packs for her.
catlin_mc posted Thu, 22 January 2004 at 10:33 PM
On looking at the images again I've got to tell you that what I love about her is the youthful, blemishfree, perfection of her. She looks pure, vestal virgin like and I've already got ideas of the image I'd like to make with her. 8) Catlin

Hi Akura, I'll be spinning dials to make her face, so yes, the finished character will need the head morphs for that. But you could also just use the texture alone, I will make a MAT pose for that. Catlin, thanks :)
