I realize he's not a household name like Adams, but a great photographer in his own right. Newton was killed in a car wreck, he was 83. His work appeared in such mags as Playboy, Vouge, and Elle. I admired his work even before I decided to try my hand at "art" photography...

I am always saddened when creativity is diminished by the loss of those who have show that and influenced others. I suppose it is for others to fill the gaps in their own and perhaps new means. God Bless. TomD'Art

I heard about Bob Keeshan on the way home tonight. Certainly Captain Kangaroo was the favorite of several generations of children. And the Macintosh is now 20 years old. Guess I'm just getting really old...

A true artist. I love his work. At least he was 83 rather than 38.

Well damn ... first Captain Kangaroo and now Helmut Newton ... this is not a good day. I guess you really are grown up when all your childhood heroes start dying. :/

Any human life a great loss, and being Newton and Captain Kangaroo is a great loss as so many others. I hope they find greater happiness in a place we have yet to understand. Salute to their lives!
