I want to create a panorama of my vue model to eventually be viewed on the web with a plug in. What is the most compatible export format and what viewer should I use? Thanks

Render your image in panorama view and then save it as QT VR Panorama. It is then "ready to be used".

except i would use flash as my medium instead of qt, alot more accesible for the common joe out there, and you can embed it perfectly into your site aswell making it a part of the layout/design. on the other hand qt vr panorama is easier to do :P so nothing wrong in using that solution.

War, anyhow, you only can save it in QT in Vue:-). Personally I prefer sites with QT plugin, I ALWYS run away when a page has Flash. Too long to load IMO.

depends on whom made the flash video :) if used properly flash can stream videos just as good as qt and still look like its a part of the site so loading times if setup correct should be virtualy 0 since u view it as u stream it. but yes u are right alot of flash sites arent setup correctly, but hopefully youll change your opinion in the near future gebe :-) and yeah :( u cant export flash from vue so i know its a longer way to the end product and something that most ppl cant even use. But im hoping that eon someday will let us export to flash from vue, not that its needed since we can use the avis but being able to export from vue to flash would be a nice addition because flash realy is a great medium when used correct.

Ok....how do you export the panorama to flash or convert it? Any tutorials? Is not that I preffer flash over QT but I already have flash movies in my website and would hate to have the visitors download more plugins than necessary. Thanks,

k, well here u go with a couple of tuts flashmx http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/mx/flash/articles/video.html swishmax http://www.designsxchange.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10980&hl=panorama (including source) http://www.designsxchange.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6952&hl=panorama (including source file) there are even more ways of doing it, all depends on what features/options you would like your visitors to have, but i think that should get you started. you can create it either with one big panorama image made in vue or by using a movie/avi and preferably converting it to flv, although converting the avi to a swf file works aswell, but of course the big panorama image produces by far the smallest file size. Hope it gets you going
