...my husband just looked at our bank statement and saw how much I'd spent between here and DAZ...whooo boy did I hear the lecture!

If you do any commercial work, look into setting it up as a business. Depending on where you are located, you may be able to deduct some or all of it as software expenses. Of course, you can't do that retroactively, though... :( TC Chas

I feel for you. Been there, done that. In fact, I got my credit card taken away.

I just don't let my partner see my bank balance, so I only give myself a talking too. 8)

There really should be a 12step program for us addicts.

Yep, start your own account. I have one at PayPal and since I sell a few online things through that account then I can only spend money I make from my sales. Made hubby quite happy. ;o)

I keep telling hubby I need to open up a budgeted Poser account. He disagrees and I don't work so............

He said I could buy one or two things a month and of course my store credit is mine to do what I want with...so I guess I can't complain to much :)

I don't work, except the cottage stuff I do at home, like when I used to do poser things. I have my account, he has his account. Every payday I get my "allowance" transferred over and he doesn't have any say in what I spend it on. It's really good for the harmony that way... and there's no need to treat it as a secret. Just tell him you'd like him to set aside whatever amount is your acceptable "limit" for you to move to your account and there you go. If he doesn't like the idea, remind him that having a set amount every two weeks is better than a nasty "surprise" on the statement a month later. Plus it gives you the opportunity to save up for special occasions where you might need to buy a gift for him.

hugs her husband who is the bestest husband in the entire world and never says anything about what she spends =D

I've just been told by my partner that he will give me a monthly allowance from now on. I'm so stunned I don't know whether to laugh or cry. We've set up in business recently and are doing better than we thought, so it won't hurt him to be good to me. grin 8) Catlin

Don't get me wrong. My husband would try to get me the moon and stars if I wanted them bad enough but even a good man has to stop from being driven to the poor house LOL

Hi Kayjay! I haven't talked to you in awhile. =) I hope that my post didn't leave the impression that I think y'all have terrible spouses or partners. =( If so, I deeply apologize. I am admittedly very spoiled. We don't have any children or other extraordinary expenses, so...

Heya!!! How have ya been? No, I didn't take it wrong at all. I re-read mine and realized I made him out to be a stingy miser. LOL. He isn't really. But when he does say enough is enough I know I have been going vrazy :) I am just sooooooooooo addicted. Sad really.
