anyone know where i can pick up a copy of the formal dress template? it seems not to have been included on my poser 4 disk of contents. before i learned how to do a trans map. i was using a different dress template and it would work. but not when i'm trying to work with transparncy stuff

You can quickly create your own with the free version of Steve Cox's UVMapper Classic app @: www.uvmapper.com 1. Load the formal dress's .obj file from the Geometries folder (look in the .cr2 to see where it is exactly) 2. Save Image from UVMapper. Too easy!

And the rest. I don't use this dress so this is just loaded into UV mapper and saved.

Yeah, no kidding. What's that "spike" sticking out the side? ;-)

It was possible to get the template from somewhere else. Most of the free stuff textures for the P4 formal used it, and you can pick it off one of those textures. Also, Symphony remapped the template cylindrically (much better) and provided that template free at the same time she had a pretty package of clothing textures for it. This was about 3 years ago, but it might still be hanging around free stuff. I got the commercial package which was nicely done and easy to use. ("Symphony" might have been 2 ladies, my memory is hazy.) If you do remap it for your own textures, I strongly urge you to go with a cylindrical map and seam at the back! Carolly

http://www.silverleifstudios.com/Symphony/Symphony_P4formalREMAP.zip... this USED to be the link, but no longer works. DMentia is Merrilyn Ellison who was half the team, and you can probably still reach her via this site. I think she is also at DAZ now. The page is still shown in free stuff at 3dcommune, but their link to the file is dead, too. The readme within the files says nothing about an email address. See if you can reach her at DAZ and if that doesn't work, try via silverleifstudios. The full commercial package of textures was really nice and was trouble-free. Pretty dresses. Carolly

She's also at www.poserpros.com where you can send her a personal message.
