Perfect One, Check out the November 2003 issue of 3DXtract magazine. It's a free downloadable PDF magazine for Carrara users. There's an article in that issue that answers your question exactly. http://3dxtract.com/ - Joe

Perfect One, That's the only think I know about online that answers your question. But basically, to make windows and doors you can use the dynamic extrusion tool in the Vertex Modeler. You can select a polygon and use the dynamic extrusion tool to create a new polygon in the middle of the first one. Then you can use the tool again to extrude the new polygon into a cavity. That's the best explanation I can give in words. I hope you can find a way to register at 3DXtract, because it's a very helpful resource.

Also check the Carrara manual. There are specific ways to do this within the various specific modelling "rooms" of Carrara Studio. If the manual is not clear, try using the "Scene Wizard" that pops up when you start a new scene, load up something with a house-like object, and take it apart to see how they did it. Cheers!
