If you point to the images you wish to emulate, I`m sure the artists will give you some pointers if they use the forum. In my experience what is realistic to some is not to others.

Different lighting techniques are good to experiment with in trying to achieve realism. Check out the links in this thread about light domes.![wow.gif](http://market.renderosity.com/~carrara/emoticons/wow.gif)drawbridgep posted Wed, 28 January 2004 at 4:36 PM
One thing a lot of newbies (including myself) do is over light pictures. They spend so much time modelling and positioning objects and texturing them, that they want to show off how clever they've been. And yeah, light domes are a bit of effort, but they rock!

lighting ,shut the sun off or put it to black and add another kind of light radial, spotlight or try that zenith lighting rig (I think madmax made not sure)
"Reinstall Windows" is NOT a troubleshooting step.

Aye, if you see an image you like, don't be afraid to instant message that artist and ask them how they did it! We learn at an exponential rate, through these forums, and I hope we can help you progress as well... Some of the lighting masters are, : Ornlu, Incarnadine, padawanNick, Madmaxbr5, Agent Smith, and MrDodoBird, to name a few. No need to exclude anyone, there are as many as 50 artists that use these forums whom I would consider masters! And we solve problems nearly every day, it's excellent...
