I am quite new to bryce and had a couple questions. first, can anyone tell me a few good sites for tutorials, textures and 3d objects. secondly, where do i put these files once i download them (the objects and textures). and last, check out the link to my first bryce render and let me know if im on the right track :) much appreciated!

btw im using bryce 5 if that is needed info.

Met, I really lke your first posting, it's a great abstract! Bryce is different from many 3D apps, or 2D apps for that matter, in that it internalizes everything. If you import a model, and save it in Bryce's library, it will always be there regardless of wether or not you delete the .obj or .3ds model that you downloaded. The best thing to do is make a folder, and place all of your downloads in that folder. Import as much as you want, we'll go into library management later, but keep the originals for credit references and also in case your Bryce libraries become corrupted. When you hit 680 MB of downloads or so, burn it all off on a disk, and then you're safe! It's all in the manual, on how to save a model or texture into the Libraries...

Jeez, my first render was an island in the middle of a lake. Original, huh? It`s great that you were able to see the potential beyond that sort of thing so early. Look forward to more

Look for Peter Sharp (Sharpe)..who has some tutorials..also, if you can find it, Real World Bryce is a book you can get from Amazon which will tell you 90-odd% of what you need to know.

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit
