I just posted two messages and there was a link inserted on both of them that I did not put there, I even deliberately deleted everything in the URL field of the create mesage form but they still appeared. Is this only me or is something fishy going on here.

Tks for the link tjohn, looks like its caused by GD Spyware. As he speeds off for some anti-spyware software.

Yup, this has been happening here and there to some members, you have spyware of some sort on your computer! I myself suggest "Spybot - Search and Destroy" (That's the actual name of the software) It's free and works better than some of the retail utilities. AgentSmith

I also STRONGLY suggest to everyone always using; An Anti-Virus Program (Mcafee, Norton) A Firewall Program (I use Zone Alarm) Anti-Spyware (Spybot-S&D, Ad-Aware) Zone Alarm has a freeware (lite) version of their software; http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/company/products/znalm/freeDownload.jsp The pro (retail) version is cool since it also has a pop-up stopper, e-mail monitoring, cookie controller, etc. AS

Ok....I'm on 4 other large international message boards, but this is the only one that seems to have a problem with adding malicious links to email when it's not wanted. Comments please? hugs to all

I've been having trouble navigating renderosity quite abit lately. I blamed spyware too. I did have some and I did remove them. But strangely enough, it keeps happening, and only when I surf Renderosity? I can get to the site but every so often the link I hit takes me to something else alltogether different. Anyone having this trouble too? And did I mention It only seems to affect my attempts to navigate here?

When you go to freebies there are lots of cookies that want to get on to your puter. You should set up your browser to show when a cookie wants to dl then you can either allow it or ban it permenantly. This stops a lot of these spyware things getting onto your machine in the first place. Catlin
