If I were to take an existing piece of clothing from Poser and altered it, drastically changing the number of vertices, would it still be conformable, or would it have to be made that way, as if it were newly modeled? By the way, could someone explain to me what the difference is between conformable clothing and poseable clothing? Thanks, Whisper

I wouldn't know about drastically changing the .obj. I've done some minor changes and then edited a copy of the cr2 to point to the new .obj and it worked fine. Just be sure not to overwrite the original files. As for poseable clothing, it simply means that after you apply a pose to your character you can apply the same pose to the item of clothing and then drag it to fit on your character. This is only good for images. Conformable clothing moves with the figure. But, poseable clothing can be made conformable simply by editing a cr2 (usually the catsuit for the female and tuxedo for the male as they include all the parts). It's not complicated at all you can go to www.poserworld.com and search for a tutorial on cr2 editing.

Have this night do the same. Converted a jacket and place the CR2-file to the new object. Worked well for me. SHARKEY

heyas; conformability is a property of the cr2, not of the mesh. so, theoretically, you can do whatever you want to the mesh, plug it back into the cr2, and it will still be conformable. in practice, if you move stuff around too far, the centers get off, the divisions between parts moves... then the jp's don't match like they used to, things bend funny... and it won't really conform right.

Thanks everybody. I'm thinking more along the lines of chopping parts off, rather than moving parts around and messing with joint perams. I guess I'm off to play. Thanks.
