For a long time I never downloaded P3dO, thinking it was something I didn't need. Today I did at last, and I can see I'm going to be using it constantly. How silly I was not to get it before. Many thanks to SENO Software! People, take heed. It's a really useful bit of software, and very nicely put together.

I grabbed it, but have yet to even open it up. a project for a rainy day...

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

the rsr to png converter is very good, but I set p3do up to be the program that loads in rsrs so I can look at them without poser running but it doesn`t seem to work properly. Does anyone know how to fix this. (it usually starts up in the wrong directory)

I consider p3do an excellent program (especially at the price:-)) although it occasionally dies if if file-switches are too rapid. My main uses for it are a) to to trawl around for a relevant texture, and b) to see what files are referenced by a poser-file (so as to correct them and speed up loading in poser). With respect to the latter, I'm working (s-l-o-w-l-y) on an app of my own to do this semi-automatically :-))

I have been praising and promoting this handy utility for years...it just keeps getting better. I love it for browsing my CD archieves and to me that is easier/better than keeping a ton of thumbnail viewer files. Xantor: I am not sure I understand the problem you are having, but if you email Yarp [P3dOE creator] at the address found in the readme...guaranteed he will advise you swiftly. He is a very nice person and takes a lot of pride in his creations.

Part of my message didn't make it through in my post above so repeat here: Yarp loves to get feedback on the utility and wants to know when there is a problem. He constantly updates the program and many enhancements are based on user requests, and bugs are found/fixed via the same user feedback.

Xantor, It is a problem with file association. I changed the updates rules with 1.7 because it didn't reset properly (when changing P3dO's location). If you how to edit the registry (regedit) you have to manually delete the P3dO.* keys in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and to update the file association from P3dO's Option | File association dialog. I know it's not the smartest way, don't hesitate to drop me a line for more information. Anyway, this bug fixed in 1.7. Diolma, I've been working on improving this crashing bug. It won't be perfect with 1.7 since I also have to change this Tree View, but I think I achieved faster safer browsing - time will tell for safer ;) Thank you all for you firm support to P3dO, I appreciate a lot. I'm preparing the 1.7 as fast as I can but the 3D engine take a lot more time than expected. The Wavefront loader is done, I have the Poser one to do and all the promised stuff. Again thank you and as Mondoxjake pointed enhancements are mostly based on user requests. I take all requests under consideration. That's why 3D was a priority for this release, it was the most requested stuff. Yarp btw I announced a shwareware version of P3dO called Thumbset P3dO but the P3dO freeware remains what it has always be : a truly freeware, it will never be a demo of Thumbset.
