My HD got toasted recently and I lost a lot of freebies. Some time ago I downloaded a Marshall Stack, a very accurate model of a Marshall valve head and 4 x 12 cab. There are (were) a few others around but this one was remarkably accurate. If anyone knows the whereabouts of this, please let me know. TIA

If I recall correctly, that was at the Mascara del Poser site. I think the owner goes by "mdp" here at Rosity. He changes his site frequently. Last time I checked, the only thing there were his drum kits. Before that, it was classic guitars and amps, and before that, Mexican wrestling stuff. (Go figure!) You might try IM'ing mdp. Apologies in advance if my memory on this is incorrect.

Thanks, xoconostle. I was sure it wasn't mask-da, but you may be correct.

Sorry 'bout that, I'll check around 'cause I'm curious, too. I appreciate the correction on his Rendo name.

it's a 4x12 cabinet (4 12" speakers", valve head just means 'tube amp' to us on this side of the water (Marshall's a British company, and that's what they call vacuume tubes). Great amps, though all I could ever afford was a Peavy..;)

daverj - thanks, I'll get hold of that one. Odeath, that's pretty close, except you have the control section upside down. On Marshalls, all the controls are at the bottom of the head. :) I can play around with it, add a bump map and it should be a good alternative. Thanks guys.

Here's a good image to show what a vintage Marshall looks like.odeathoflife posted Tue, 03 February 2004 at 7:36 PM
Yup I have a Peavy as well. I would like a Stack to go with my Ibanez, but with a family and all a peavy is really all I need ( I am a hobbiest not a performer)

BTW, this newer Marshall MG head does have the controls at the top, and may be more like what odeathoflife was modeling. The MG series is their low cost series. You can get MG 4x12 speaker cabinets (MG-412A) for $299 at samash.com.SamTherapy posted Wed, 04 February 2004 at 12:00 PM
Right you are, daverj. I was thinking about the classic Marshall layout, up to and including the DSL and TSL series. I have a DSL 100w - mucho loud. :D
