Hi Cath, your animation is very well done, and very funny. I really like the fisheye lens effect in the second half. Just curious, was this a .bvh file you purchased, made yourself, or found for free somewhere? It worked beautifully with M1 ... the action has a fluidity that suggests you did a lot of correction work. Fun stuff! :-)

Mec4D posted Wed, 04 February 2004 at 8:55 PM

this was not free bvh motions but I made also some correction but not really much, I made the animation in 35/sec then slow down to fit a little bit the bits, m1 works fantastic with the bvh that was not hand made and are real mocap , the arms works not that good as Poser male but well the rest is ok as for a test with so low model.. rendering was fast to, one frame per 2/sec 800x600 there is a Dutch website with company that offer free bvh motions.. don't have the url in my head right but when I find I will send to you, they have nice bvh also.. I rendered the scenes with Main camera, then in the 2 last scenes the hands of M1 was to small .. I set the camera focal down and yup fisheye lens effect so I don't changed it back and I think it works funny with this scene.. thank you :))) Cath

Wonderful stuff. How'd you create the disco lights/Matrix code/smoke/sparklies? particleIllusion?

Mec4D posted Thu, 05 February 2004 at 7:02 AM

Thanks :)) the music give me also the idea of his outfit lol yes I used particleIllusion with 3 layers, the background/smoke/matrix code first rendered in poser using the background spot light, then after this added the smoke and the M.code to make it more busy for the eyes.. I love ParticleIllusion it is so quick ad funny to work with.. you can make well amazing effect there with rendered models from Poser, the last time I rendered fish and put into P.L with the effect of 200 fishes.. and was really cool effect and made in 5 min.. Poser5 features allow you to import movies on your models so this is another opportunity for magic effects inside the scene, as fire, smoke or other effect.. Today I am testing another dreamy effects in animations will show you later tonight.. Thank you :) Cath

I really should install my copy of particleIllusion and try it out someday; I just haven't had time.
