I think the path should be narrower at the doorway....0.02p

maybe a little worn dirt path leading from the end of the ramp into the house..some sort of roots or something supporting the ramp...it's so beautiful!

Looking awesome. I'd say the only thing that looks wrong is the left mushroom. To me, your curved path is the dominant compositional piece, so everthing should support it. Right now the mushrooms are pretty much directly opposite of each other, producing a straight line in effect. Of course that may be what you want. I'd try making it smaller, add a few more, and try different placement to see what ya think. A path leading up to the ramp might look great too. Can't wait to see this one finished.

I like it.My thoughts>>Bottom of ramp should have some growth to make it look not so direct into ground.Same as shrooms.Maybe take a bit of the soft filter off.Even with an LCD monitor it is difficult to see this.Excellent work on the structure though.

Great start! I agree about the path. Is the house big or small? If small the flowers should be larger, like the mushrooms. If the house is big, the mushrooms should be smaller. Maybe it's my monitor, but I see straight lines on the ground plane on the right side that are a little distracting. But these are just details, I like the concept, modelling and composition.

The texture on the bole is great. I'm bothered by the angles of the trees that're used as branches, that aspect is like a magnet for my eye as soon as I look at the pic. Love the light through the trees in the top right corner. My $0.02

COOL!!!.... this version is much better than the first. The changes you made have had a drastic yet positive effect on this image. Moving the camera back did wonders in my opinion. I still think that a small worn patch in the grass merging into the path that leads into the house would pull it together some. The shrunken shrooms was a major improvement too. Me hat's off to you. Looking great so far man. I am eager to see this one finished.

For example, everything in this scene was made from scratch in Rhino, except the obvious Brycean trees and the flowers, which are from Plant Studio... I take some small pride in not using other people's models, although of course Poser always makes me feel like I'm cheating on myself... (I can't model a whole character and bone it, quite yet, so I'm stuck with other people's models for people still)

That is really pretty. I think I need to work in Rhino a little more before I'll have any lucid questions to ask of them at that forum. Right now, it's all I can do to get a good texture for the items I have in my scene. Gad, you people ask an awful lot of a poor slob like me.

I got it for the student discount ... so it was only about $200. It's the only way to go.

I bought Rhino 2.0 at Half-Price books for $250 a while back. It was a great deal, and legally it's sound, otherwise I would still be using Ray Dream Studio for my modeling. It had some cool functions, but Rhino smokes it like it's no big deal! Thanks for the praise, Muddy, and I hope to see some good modeling from you in the Amapi world soon! Make sure and post some WIP's for us?

And here's the latest version, no characters yet but I've got them figured out, now to just insert them and re-render a couple of areas, plop-render style! I've used KPT6 Equalizer, Flaming Pear Aetherize, and FP Melancholytron... The standard array. And other ideas, things I should do different?
