Hope someone out there can help me on this. I have a full version of Poser 3 which was contained on a CD that came with issue 37 of 3D World magazine. I no longer have the magazine but I need a serial/registration number to install it. I've contacted the magazine and have gotten no response. I don't want to register this with Curious Labs, I simply want a number to get it up and running! Any help?

CL doesn't allow anyone to give anyone else a serial number, not even for the magazine freebie P3...

Before this thread gets locked, I just want to suggest, even though you didn't bother to read the TOS before you posted here, maybe if you contact CL with a scan of the CD in your possession and explain your situation, they can fix you up somehow. The idea is, if they help you with a freebie, you might become a grateful customer who will buy Poser 5, which is a thousand times better than P3.

usually these magazines also include a html description, or a readme.txt file which includes the serial number info.

I have that issue of 3D World. Registration numbers were issued through a website (www.egisys.com/registrations/3DWorld). Since Egisys no longer owns Poser, I doubt the offer is still valid.

Contact Computer Arts magazine. They were one of the first magazines to release P3 for free; they might be able to provide you with the serial (which was common to all purchasers of the magazine).bip77 posted Sat, 07 February 2004 at 6:16 AM

You can order these as back issues from the magazines..but you do have to register (I had to register mine)..not sure what the issue would be, but it works fairly well..now if I can only hold out until I can get the issue with Xfrog..;)

Beware Pakled - this version of Xfrog does not have an export facility - it is only any use with either 3d Max, Maya, lightwave or Cinema 4d version 7 or above. If you don't have any of those, then you won't be able to use the lovely plants.
