Is there any way to exclude certain apps from the Free Stuff search results, or better still, exclude all except one? (Reasoning: I'm trying to find some hair for Cinema4D, but my results are getting polluted by Poser ones, which - unless someone can provide a free Poser>C4D CE6 converter - are useless to me. I've tried "Cinema4D hair", "C4d hair" and various others, but apart from 'Hair for Vicky 3', and various random items, all I'm getting is Poser stuff. If I could exclude that Poser stuff, or just restrict my search to the C4D section, it would all me much simpler for me.)

All models for Poser are in Wavefront Obj format, so you can use them in Cinema 4D.

  1. If the model is already splitted in a .obj file and a Poser file (.cr2, .hr2, ...) you are ready to go. Otherwise drag-n-drop the Poser file into UVMapper (free Classic version) and export the Wavefront .obj file.
  2. Import the .obj file in Cinema 4D and scale it up (factor 1000, Posermodels are tiny).
  3. Apply the provided texture and transparency maps.

Most hair downloads in the Poser section are not whole models, but only new texture/trans maps for other models. Kozaburo and Studio Maya have some very nice and complete hair models for Poser.

Oooh, that's handy. I had almost resorted to trying to make my own with a Bezier NURBS object; it wasn't going well. Thanks.
