Hmmm...I like the composition of the mask in the lower left and the idea of this., but don't know if I like the angle that was taken of the mask itself. I think it has to do with the eye that's to camera right. It looks HUGE compared to the other one. It bothers me. The shadow edges, especially around where the mask meets the ground, are a little too hard for my taste. I'd probably go for a light source that was a much more diffused. Get a nice softening of those shadows. My $0.02 + here, have a cookie (had an attack of Sweet Tooth and since Michelle wasn't around, I had to go out and some M&M cookies.) Mmmmmmmmm :D -=>Donald

Well I love broccoli! But those M&M cookies sure do sound good.... I like this image a lot. Compo, angle, everything.... hmmm, maybe that shadow is a tad too harsh..., but certainly not disagreeable to me. Uhh...pass the butter and salt please... and save some of those cookies for me Donald!

Michelle, Donald, I think that I concour about the shadows at ground contact being a little to harsh, I will work on that some, but I'm undecided about orientation. comments, suggestions? califlower?

The vertical is perfect for me, an excellent photo.

the vertical one works for me, both for composition and lighting. i would like to see both eyes though.
Pictures appear to me, I shoot them. Elliot Erwitt

I like the first shot, though the background seems a bit grainy to me. It's actually funny that you posted this shot. I was trying to do some shots of a mask this weekend. One of my multitude of hobbies of mask-making, and I was trying to find a good way to photograph them for potential sales (which reminds me, if anyone wants a hand-made mask, let me know and we might be able to set something up. :) ). -Taltos
