I'm taking poser figures and CNC machining them to make real, solid 3D figures. I want to start machining molds instead of figures. So I need to take a cube and subtract a figure. Anybody know of something that can do this? Ideally it'd be some simple piece of shareware, but something general purpose that would do boolean operations and would let me edit NURBS would work. I have: Bryce (which has a negative operator but doesn't do this properly), Corel Dream, Poser 4, and TurboCAD.

I have heard that booleans in Bryce are sort of weird. Doesn't turbocad 6.5 pro offer 3d booleans? I don't know any low-end NURBS programs. And when you do the boolean operation I don't think you are going to get a NURBS surface on the mold. The low end version of Cinema 4D might work, execpt for NURBS. Hopefully other people will have more useful ideas.

Actually, all that's needed is that I do the boolean difference. I'll check TurboCAD 6.5 - I have a copy of turbocad something pro, I just need to find the disk and install it. Turns out Rhino will do it. I downloaded the eval copy and did it.
