I keep getting "contains errors" every time I export a formula from Apop to UF3. It might be because I have Apop 1, so the question is, Where do you get a copy of Apop 2? Looked under several word searches and only wasted time. A URL would be greatly appreciated.

The beta 2 version of Apophysis is available only if you subscribe to the apophysis mailing list. Send an email to apophysis-subscribe@lists.fractalus.com The link to download the beta 2 version will be at the bottom of the email you get from the mailing list.

I forgot to mention that when using the beta 2 version you can save your flame fractals directly to your hard drive as a .jpg using the "Render" button.

What kind of errors are you getting? Did you download all the formulas from the public UF Dbase? More info about Apophysis beta 2, click on the URL.

Biggest problem I was having was that the image would lose clarity when converted from BMP to JPEG. Downloaded Apop 2 and the render option directly to JPEG has incredible depth and clarity. I was originally planning on rendering in UF3, but now that the clarity problem is solved, I no longer need to do that. Seems Apop 2 also allows larger render sizes, so image clarity being lost due to enlarging the size has also gone away. Thanks for all the help. Hopefully I'll get some new fractals done with the better version soon.

This might be a suprise to all of you but every image I have ever put on Renderosity is a screen capture. If I have an image to save I go to "full screen" in Apo and with Irfanview running in bg, press Ctrl - F11. That instantly drops a 1600x1200 bmp image in the pre-selected folder. Irfanview is the only pgm I trust for accurate image capture. One thing, the resolution of your monitor dictates the max pixel size image. I feel really blessed with a 21" LCD (1600x1200). Maybe this will help someone.....TomWilcox
