me just bought poser for osx today and i was wondering if anyone knows about any rumors if there will be a g5 optimization (update) for the current poser version.... as i have pc and mac version now i can say mac is much more stable and real fun, whereas pc was an alltime "waiting if something happens" experience especially with the big models...

I have a mac and am thinking about getting a G5. How fast is poser 5 on the G5? Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

hi esther, i dont have real comparison to a g3 or g4 which are much slower than g5, but i think from what i saw until now its worlds apart from a 3ghz pentium pc... and all i can say is - its damn fun working with! you will need some additional ram as rendering with big textures costs loads of it .... maybe the g5 is the fastest option to run poser yet, but there still seems to be room for improvement or optimization. upon using the g5's superior cpu architecture i think the produkt will show its real power. therefor im looking forwart to an optimized upgrade. for now the cpu enters some sort of compatibility mode.. but still fast but since i have the g5 now i did not yet see ANY program that could bring it to its knees LOL - which i was used to when working with windows
