Subject: Better Hair

Hello all, I hope someone can help. I am trying to make the above pictured hair more realistic. I have arrows drawn to certain places. This the place i am having trouble. anyone know how to make these places a little less noticeablee, is the light, trans settings, what? Please help, the texture should dhow more than the prop right? Let me know what I am doing wrong

I have the same problem with trans in Poser but works fine in Bryce. Whats the problem?

Doc, maybe reducing the trans settings a bit? Or double checking the transmap... aside from this... we'd need one of the experts.. like Rena, Keoto, Ikyoto etc... (sorry.. these are the ones that came to mind immediately) Cheers

esmith, turn the reflection color of the hair to black and the shinyness slider to zero the transmap does not apply to those options an you'll gell glassy looking hair instead if you have the object shine hope that helps -Ede

You may also want to just double check that you are using 100% black on the transmap. Check the colour description in your drawing/painting programme. Use uncompressed files for transmaps (JPEG may give a slight distortion). But I think Ede is probably right. Berge
