This is todays go at getting something for the challenge. I think I kept off the imports enough this time, just a few bits of vegetation. The rest is Bryce terrains, lattices, trees and mats. Soft focus filter in post but not much else. Probably go with this but, hey, there`s still a few days to go yet.

Too bad you can't use Poser...this place is crying out for a frog. :^) Very natural feel, great atmosphere.

One thing that jumps out at me is that your two handrails have exactly the same texture. Some variation between the two would definitely enhance the realism. Otherwise, I like it a lot. Very atmospheric.

as per ajtooley: ah, you could just rotate the texture and offset it a little and plop render but why - it looks good the way it is! Really good!

Tjohn, I think this looks more like Scotland than France. LOL

Very nice Sambucus.... Soothing, serene, relaxing feeling I get from this image. Wade

Awesome. That's a nice day's work. It looks to me as though the water is flowing away from the camera. If that's so, the underwater vegetation looks like it's trailing in the wrong direction. It's hard for me to tell exactly what's happening at the bottom of the handrails. What is the water doing? Is that a log or a rock crossing the stream? Does the stream really become as narrow as it looks right there?

Great start Sam! I agree about the rail, and alsp have to add that the background mountain texture doesnt look right to me. Looks splotchy and stretched. Other than that, Im really likin this.

I looked at this and wondered why something seemed wrong to me. I finally decided that it was that the plants on the hill are at the same angle as the hill - and plants don't usually do that; they grow upwards. Otherwise - GREAT WORK!
