uhm no, I dont remember that I
ve added dandruff:) The whole model consists of two meshes. Hair and Scullcap. The Scullcap is at the right top corner, the hair on the left. I have no idea what those circles are, but they cause the texturing Problems, and I have no idea how they got there.

Can you select them in UV mapper, hover over the circles, right click and then click geometries and if you can select just the circles look at it in the View, Show model...are you using Pro first of all? Sharen

hm unfortunately doesnt work...Well I don
t own the pro version, just the demo version. despaired Well....could it be ...I mean I ve used lots of different curves for the hair...could that cause the prob? or would it help if I post the UVS ? *help**can i just post the uvs? I mean it
s a big file...lots of questions....well damn thanks that a few of you want to help me:)) Praada.

They lok like they may be the caps on the tips of the hair..Steve
SAMS3D posted Sun, 22 February 2004 at 9:08 AM
I agree with Steve, looks like a cap. Sharen
Paradogma posted Sun, 22 February 2004 at 9:24 AM
thanks steve and sharon:) Now that I know that those could be the caps.......back to my first question how to texture them, or how to separate them from the rest of the hair. Because they really make no sense to me. I tried to tile the map but didn`t work. Im really a beginner in creating objects, but any of us started little. :) Thanks again for helping.

I'd just delete them if you can..i'm not sure how rhino does it but the app i use will let you choose if you want them or delete them later..or in uvmapper you select a polygon and then get it to grow the selection till it has all the caps selected...Steve

mmh...I try that....If it works I`ll put a note here. Thanks Steve:) Praada

You should be able to get a better map than that out of UV mapper - try experimenting with different split options in planar mapping.

Hi, I zipped it up and sent it back to you....found out those circles are the ends of the hair. Your hair is solid cylinders so there are 2 ends with each strand, top and bottom, I separated them out and moved them to the end of the map. Let me know what you think....it was emailed to you. Sharen

Thanks again Sharon, I just came home and found it! That`s a lot better now and as weird as it was to me, I did learn something new today:D! Thanks to all of you! Praada
