Hello all, I just downloaded a tree from renderosity for use in vue. It is a .vob file. Where would I want to put it? There are also two bitmap files, one is for leaves and the other is the alpha for the leaves. And then there is a .jpg which is the bark. I am not sure where to put these items, any help would be appreciated. (I am guessing I dump the .vob into one of the subdirectories under Objects and then the image files where ever I want as I will have to browse to them to put them on the .vob?) Thanks, --Eryk

Eryk you can put these files anywhere you like, as far as you remember later where they are. What I do: In my OBJECTS folder I have created subfolders for each category of objects, like trees, plants, flowers, kitchen, food and so on. There I put downloaded files. In my bitmap folder I also have created subfolders for leaves, terrain textures, ground textures and whatever. It's there I put my bitmaps. Now, for such a file as the tree you have downloaded, you may, when every thing is sorted on the right place, open it in Vue. Vue will then ask you where to find the bark, the leaves ... Just point Vue to it. When you have finished, save your object (tree) in the objects subfolder you like. Vu ewill now always find the right textures when you call back your tre, except if you move the bitmaps to another place. Then you will need to start again to indicate to Vue where they are. You will now be able to create a new preview window for all your downloaded trees or objects so that you can see them when you click the objects icon. Guitta
