This is a re-post of a thread I made about 8 months ago. If you don't have these, get them. If you need them again...get them again, lol. ------------ I picked up the June issue of Computer Arts (#84), mostly for articles. But, it turned out the company Flaming Pear included on the CD demo's of all their Photoshop plugins. And...it turned out they also included 3 new plugins that aren't available on their website for free! Three non-expiring, non-restrictive cool little plugins. "Wreckage" - Trashes your picture and reassembles it. basically it messes up your pics in really interesting ways. Hard to explain, I'll have to make up an example. "Sphere Warp" - It can take a normal picture of anything, send it through Sphere Warp, and it will distort it so that it will again look (somewhat) normal when I apply it to a sphere in Bryce for fake hdri. Not perfect, but a nice quickie filter. "Cumulus" - Just the absolute best one!! Make real-world clouds, simple as that, and as complex as you want to make. Very realistic, and completely customizable. ---------- *Okay, I had contacted Flaming Pear about these plugins, because SO many people had wanted them. So, I asked if they were going to be offered on their site anytime, no. BUT, they gave me permission to re-distribute them via e-mail ONLY. (to my members, lol) **SO, IF YOU WANT THEM; E-mail me at agentsmith@renderosity.com, using your e-mail that you wish for me to reply to with the .zip of plugins. (577Kb) I will collect addresses and do a mass e-mailing daily. NOTE 1 - These plugins may NOT ever be offered for download in any way on the internet. NOTE 2 - Mac - Sorry, although, the Mac versions of these plugins are on the CD, I cannot correctly take them off the CD, with my OS being a PC. I tried to do so in MANY ways the first time around, and although it would look like it worked to me, the plugins would never actually work for mac users. I'm still looking to gain access to a Mac, so I can take them off the CD that way. ---------- I will be posting some screenshots of the plugins. AgentSmith

Here is the link to the original post I made some months back, gives a quick and dirty "how-to" on how to use the 2D clouds you make with this plugin, inside of Bryce. (post #42, I believe) AS

pakled I am another one of those 20, I still use photopaint for some things. It will accept some filters that are designated for PS, like you can push it to accept the KPT series, although I never did try and work out how. I was lucky and got a 2nd user version of PS, and yes it was legal, have all the docs and the registration in my name. OK its version 5. There is a cheap, limited edition around, called PS elements, which has most of the stuff that most people use...not certain how much that one costs.

I'm such a filter addict I gotta have these lol. I have PSP 8 and all the other Flaming Pear plugins work with it. Most plugins will, but for several you need 2 extra files that are usually in PhotoShop. plugin.dll and msvcrt10.dll which need to be in your Windows System folder. Michelle

It was the clouds plugin I used on my Seagull image, and I got to say that using it on a 2d plane gives some spectacular effects. 8) Catlin

I'm sure these plugins work in the programs that the other plugins from Falming Pear do; Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, and PhotoPaint. I would be intersted in hearing if they work with anything else. *If you cannot recieve attachments through your e-mail...off the top of my head, go to Yahoo.com and get a free account. It is web based e-mail so recieveing attachments is not a problem. I'm getting the first volley of e-mails I had recieved, ready to go out. (30 or so) AgentSmith

A fair number of pshop plugins work with fireworks, although the success can be a bit questionable, most appear to work fine with painter 5 as well. (and you can always line up pshop plug ins as a video post effect in Max....)
