It's not quite perfect but here it is. I initially tried using metaballs for the trunk but I didn't quite like it, then I tried multireplicating cylinders but it didn't quite connect the way I wanted, finally I decided to just assemble it one cylinder after another.erosiaart posted Sat, 28 February 2004 at 4:45 AM
lol...pretty good replica of a coconut tree. Where de coconuts, man? You cannot 'ave de coconut tree and not have a coconut. And I feel so homesick now. T'inkin' of de black sand and de hot summers', yeah, do hot soummers dat make me t'ink we in 'eaven. Not dat India ain't hot, but India heat kills you and keep you in de hell. The Caribbean summers? Ah, man.. dat rum punch, and de coconut water dat taste so sweet, man. It sweet like honey. And de sound of de waves, an de steel pan music, and smell of Tante Merle's fried chicken. Ay, ay.. yes mon.Dat's de place to be now. :) :)

I love the cocnut, but umm...any chance of the recipes for some of the other vegetation, its all brilliant, and so realistic.

Thanks for the response guys. It's not that big a file, I tried downloading it myself with my slow 56k LOL. It can get smaller if I took out that 2d plane 'cheat' I included. Geocicties might have a limit ;-( chohole, working on those recipies.

Please tell me that it's not too late to enter that in the Landscape Challenge, because that is so incredibly drop dead gorgeous ... and if anything should be in that challenge that should.
Could be worse, could be raining.
