Hi all .... new to renderosity .... I write poems as the moods strike me .... humorous, sarcastic, and serious .... I've tried for the past hour to 'upload' a poem in the 'upload' section here on the 'form' .... tried 'copy/paste' from WORD 6.0 .... I've reduced spacings and font sizes to 8 or smallest I can go on my pc and it still won't allow my upload .... any help would be so kindly appreciated .... thanks, much in advance.... I have alot of 'ideas' of pics to go with my poems if I could be so fortunate as to find someone here who would like to create something from my works, also.... roadrunner69.

Welcome to our part of the world. I am going to ask what is going to sound like a silly question but it might make a difference. When you tried to upload your poem, did you include a graphic? It could be a blank graphic, but it is my memory that there has to be some kind of graphic or the system doesn't finish the upload. I hope someone will correct me if I'm in error about that. It's been a long time since I tried to upload anything to the gallery. Follow the link I've provided...it tells you what is needed for the graphic. Good luck. I hope you are able to post soon.roadrunner69 posted Thu, 04 March 2004 at 9:41 PM
The Writers'Gallery is the place to post your own original poems and stories. All copyrights belong to the original writers. Submissions to the Writers' Gallery may be accompanied by an original graphic that you created up to 300 x 300 pixels in size. If you have a larger graphic that you want to use to accompany the picture, you can post it in the appropriate gallery and put a reference link here along with the story. (If you need help with this, please feel free to contact a Moderator for assistance.)(PASTED FROM 'LINK') .... DIALYN .... THANK YOU for responding .... this is my 'first' pc so bear with me .... lol .... I read again the 'link' you sent me to .... I had read that b/4 also .... it says above, ''may'' be accompanined by an original graphic .... I'm a 'literal' person .... typical 'male' .... lol (but I WILL take directions willingly!) .... so, that tells me I don't ''have'' to ??? .... but, since I graduated third, in a class of two, I will try attaching a small icon/graphic of some kind .... Are you saying that I should 'browse' and place the 'graphic' in the 'upload' open area? .... and then, where do I place the 'poem'? .... in the 'below' comments area?? .... sorry .... be gentle .... this site needs a HOW TO SECTION in ENGLISH for simpletons like 'wa' .... smile .... thanks, again! .... roadrunner69.

ALSO pasting these 'instructions' I found.... Writers Gallery (for more information go to http://www.renderosity.com/index.ez?viewLink=463) Art images follows the same format above except the size of the art image is 300 x 300 pixels. The charaters size is 15,000. For best readability: Please double space between paragraphs. Please type directly in the upload box or copy/paste from Notepad (or something similar.) Copy/Pasting from complex word processing programs, such as MS Word, can change certain characters, especially " marks into ? marks. (Copy/Pasting from Word into Notepad, then Copy/Pasting into the Upload box usually takes care of the issue.)

No images or thumbnails are required but you must enter something in the field for Image Title. Copy and paste your text into the field labeled Notes and then select upload.

Poems or very short stories or essays may be uploaded there. I would not upload anything you are trying to sell for publication, of course.
