Then Walther may need to try it, as he is on a Mac too.

Yes, Guitta. That's exactly what I did. I made the map in Photshop and saved it as a BMP as seen in my second post. Maybe Walther can reproduce this problem himself. ;) Thanks, Phil

I had no problems loading one of Kromekats light gels and that was a .JPG file (I'm on PC) Gill

Well, sorry to say Phil, no problems here. I think i said it once (or twice). 95% of the bugs sits... I defined a gel to a spot light. Then i edited the gel and attached first a jpg - no problem. Then a bmp - a brick texture. No problem as well. Then i switched to object space, then i made the texture (gel) scaling smaller. All without a problem. Maybe you send me the bmp you created so that i can test it here. I think you have my email address. see you, Walther

Maybe you could try to open the bmp file under MacOS (with photoshop or equivalent) and save it again in case it is coming from a PC with specific settings.

Believe it or not. When I tried the map again yesterday evening it worked without crashing VuePro! Strange things happen sometimes. ;) Anyway, many thanks for your help!!! Phil
